Following the lawsuit filed by D. Gabriel Araúz de Robles, Managing Partner of the firm’s Canary Islands office, against a Spanish airline company for a case of denied boarding due to overbooking, the defendant partially accepted the plaintiff’s claims, recognising the right of a three-month-old baby to financial compensation under Regulation (EC) 261/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 February 2004 establishing common rules on compensation and assistance to passengers in the event of denied boarding and of cancellation or delay of flights.
